A quarter of a million people lose their jobs followed by a worldwide pandemic and hundreds of thousands of deaths.

- ASiA -HISTORIC BY-LAW CHANGE. After a year of consultation with attorneys and an extensive written proxy process and the General Council of the Society changed the New York state non-profit corporate form which it had adopted in 1933 when it was first incorporated from “Membership “ to “Non-Membership.” The “Membership” form meant that, since 1933, the Society had to have 10% of its membership agree in writing or in person with any major change (the sale of 211 Madison Ave., Regionalization of Council membership, or this change of the corporate form.) After this, major issues could be enacted by a simple majority vote of the Board of Directors and no member involvement is required.
